The 100DV Economical Irrigation Valve is designed for residential and light commercial applications, featuring a range of advanced capabilities that ensure maximum reliability and long-lasting performance.

At the heart of the valve is a double-filtered pilot-flow design, which ensures consistent and efficient operation by filtering out impurities and debris. The balanced-pressure diaphragm further contributes to the valve's durability, providing a long service life.

For easy maintenance and installation, the 100DV offers an external bleed function, allowing users to manually flush the system of dirt and debris during the initial setup process. Additionally, an internal bleed feature enables spray-free manual operation, enhancing the overall user experience.

The valve's energy-efficient and low-power solenoid is encapsulated for protection, with a captured plunger and a 90-mesh (200-micron) solenoid filter, ensuring reliable performance even in demanding conditions. The Buna-N diaphragm, complemented by a self-cleaning 90-mesh (200-micron) pilot water filter and a captive spring, further contribute to the valve's long-term durability.

In low-flow and Xeriscape applications, the 100DV can be used in conjunction with the RBY filter installed upstream, enabling optimal performance in diverse irrigation scenarios.

The valve's installation is streamlined, with 1.25-inch stainless steel Phillips head screws and a slip-by-slip configuration for compatibility with poly pipe. For flexible installations, particularly when submains are deep, the 100DV features a male-by-barb configuration.

The 100DV Irrigation Valve is designed to operate within a wide range of pressures, from 15 to 150 psi (1.03 to 10.34 bar), and can handle flow rates between 0.2 to 40 gpm (0.05 to 9.08 m/h; 0.76 to 151.4 l/m). It can withstand water temperatures up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit (43 degrees Celsius) and ambient temperatures of up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit (52 degrees Celsius).

Electrically, the valve requires a 24 VAC 50/60 Hz (cycles per second) solenoid, with an inrush current of 0.30 A (7.2 VA) at 60 Hz and a holding current of 0.19 A (4.6 VA) at 60 Hz. The coil resistance is between 42-55 ohms.

The dimensions of the 100DV Irrigation Valve are as follows: height of 4 1/2 inches (11.4 cm), height (angle) of 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), length of 4 3/8 inches (11.1 cm), length (mm) of 5 3/8 inches (13.6 cm), length (angle) of 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), length (MB) of 5 3/4 inches (14.6 cm), and a width of 3 1/3 inches (8.4 cm).

The valve also accepts a latching solenoid, enabling compatibility with Rain Bird battery-operated controllers for enhanced versatility in irrigation system design and management.
