Replacing the obsolete ST8I-WIFI model, this new and upgraded timer features numerous enhancements, including faster app responsiveness, enhanced water usage reporting, customizable manual watering options, automatic shut-off when rain is forecasted, the ability to copy a zone's program to other zones, and easy on/off control via the app, along with notifications of any program changes.

Certified by the EPA's WaterSense program, this timer is guaranteed to provide at least a 20% water savings compared to non-certified models. The accompanying Rain Bird app allows you to manage multiple timers located anywhere in the world, with the ability to install it on multiple devices and securely share control with family members, landscapers, and others.

Compatibility with Amazon Alexa, Apple iOS 8 (or greater), and Android 4.4 (KitKat) or later ensures seamless integration with a variety of smart home ecosystems. You can access the timer's programming functions through your mobile devices, whether on a WiFi network or away from home, as well as directly through the timer's control panel.

The Automatic Seasonal Adjust feature automatically adapts the daily watering schedule based on the season, local weather, temperature, and humidity, using data automatically downloaded and calculated for your specific ZIP code every night.

Each zone can be programmed for custom watering days (weekly, odd/even calendar days, or cyclic every 1-14 days), with up to 6 start times per zone and run times ranging from 0 to 199 minutes. All timer settings are stored indefinitely in memory, eliminating the need to re-program in the event of a power outage.

The Rain Bird app's notification capabilities keep you informed of various events in your yard, even when you're away from home, such as watering delays, the application of Automatic Seasonal Adjust, incorrect date or time, WiFi disconnection, valve malfunctions, or potential freezing conditions. The Watering Delay feature allows you to suspend watering for 1 to 14 days, with the programming automatically resuming once the selected delay has ended.

Designed for weather-resistant locations like a garage or waterproof shed, the timer connects to a master valve or pump start relay and supports a wired rain sensor (sold separately) to automatically turn off watering when it rains.
