Using the intuitive Rain Bird mobile app on your device, you can set, monitor, or adjust watering schedules anywhere in the world. Activate any schedule, delay watering, view upcoming schedules, and even check your local weather forecast – all from the convenience of your smartphone or tablet.

This smart irrigation controller can reduce water usage by up to 30% by automatically skipping or adjusting daily watering for your postal code, based on local weather forecasts and historical averages. It's compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple iOS 8 (or greater), and Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later.

The ARC-8 manages 8 individual zones and provides 3 customizable programs (A, B, C) per zone, with up to 4 start times per program and run times from 1 minute to 6 hours. You can name zones, add pictures, and set frequency, start times, and run times to meet your specific needs.

Compliance with regional watering restrictions is easy, with the ability to set custom days of the week, odd/even calendar days, or cyclic (every 1 to 14 days) watering schedules. Notifications will inform you of programming changes, valve malfunctions, WiFi disconnections, incorrect date/time, or possible freezes.

The Seasonal Adjust feature allows you to reduce run times by 5% to 200% on all programs simultaneously or for individual programs. The Watering Delay function suspends watering for 1 to 14 days, automatically resuming once the delay ends. It features robust set screw terminals to accommodate 8 zones, a master valve, pump start relay, rain sensor, and freeze sensor (rain sensor sold separately). The unit operates on a 6-foot AC power cord or can be direct-wired, with an internal transformer reducing 120 VAC to 24 VAC.
